The AI is woefully predictable, and has an aggro mechanic where the enemy quickly gives up and goes back to its default patrol routine. The whole point of terminator is that the machines don't stop until you're dead... and here they give up after 30 seconds of searching. It detracts from the sense of unstoppable doom.
