Is STAR WARS Jedi Survivor completely free?

The download on this page is offered free of charge as a pre-installed v1.0.0.11 package. The game itself is a commercial title from Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, so if you enjoy it, buying a copy on Steam is the best way to support the developers.

How do I install STAR WARS Jedi Survivor?

This is a pre-installed build, so there is no installer wizard. Extract the game folder to a location excluded from your antivirus, install the runtimes from the Redist or _CommonRedist folder, then run STAR WARS Jedi Survivor.exe as administrator from inside the game folder. A detailed Installation Guide.txt is included in the files.

What version and file size is this download?

The download is version v1.0.0.11 and the package is 132 GB. The game's listed storage requirement is 155 GB of available space, so keep a buffer free on your drive before extracting.

Does the game run well on PC?

In our testing on medium-to-high settings we recorded zero crashes across several hours of play. There are occasional frame dips in the densest open areas, but nothing that broke the experience. The build reflects the patched Steam release rather than the rocky launch version.

Is STAR WARS Jedi Survivor playable on Steam Deck?

Yes, it is listed as Playable rather than Verified. That means it works but may require you to adjust settings and expect some performance compromises.

Do I need to play Fallen Order first?

It helps. Jedi Survivor picks up five years after Fallen Order and continues Cal's story with the same crew. Newcomers can follow along, but you will get more out of the narrative if you play the first game.
