Is RAILROADS Online completely free?

How do I install RAILROADS Online?

This is a pre-installed package, so there's no setup wizard. Extract the archive to a folder excluded from antivirus scanning, open the game folder, and launch the game executable as administrator. If it fails to start, install the runtimes from the Redist or _CommonRedist folder included in the package.

What are the system requirements?

The listing indicates a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 system, an Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X class processor, 8 GB RAM, an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 with 8 GB VRAM, DirectX 12, and a broadband connection. Note the storage figure in the listing (6000 MB) conflicts with the 14.3 GB package size described for this release, so plan for the larger figure.

Is the version up to date?

Yes. The version status check showed v0.10.0.0.0 (52150) as current against the latest build (16788644), with content last updated in September 2026.

Can I play it on Steam Deck?

The store listing marks the game as Playable on Steam Deck. Our testing was on Windows, so we can't verify Deck performance firsthand, but the listing status is a positive sign.
