Is Forza Horizon 3 completely free?

The build offered here is a free download under a free license, consisting of the RUNE offline version and the OFME online fix. If you want to support the developers, you can buy the official game through the Microsoft Store.

How do I install Forza Horizon 3?

Download the package and extract it into a folder excluded from your antivirus. Install the apps in the Redist or _CommonRedist folder, then for offline play run InstallApp.exe as administrator and launch from the Start menu. For online co-op, run GDK Helper.bat as administrator and execute the commands in the order 3 > 1 > 2 > 5, then launch from the Start menu.

What is the difference between the offline and online versions?

The offline version is singleplayer only, doesn't require the Xbox app or internet, and is more stable. The online version uses the OFME online fix for co-op and multiplayer over the internet, but requires a specific command order and matching build versions across all players.

Why does the game crash on startup?

The most common causes are missing Visual C++ redistributables (msvcp140.dll, vccorlib140.dll, VCRUNTIME140.dll) or antivirus quarantine. Install the Redist folder contents, add your game folder to antivirus exclusions, and run the game as administrator. Some integrated GPUs, particularly newer Intel iGPUs, may still crash after the unsupported graphics warning.

Can I play Forza Horizon 3 online with friends?

Yes. The online fix version supports co-op and multiplayer over the internet. Everyone must run the same build version and connect through the game's own lobby or invite system.
