IXION System Requirements & Compatibility – Windows 10/11 PC & macOS Desktop (2026)

The listing classifies IXION under a Free license, and the download provided here is a pre-installed PC package at version v1.0.6.5. The in-game listing also includes a prompt to support the developers by purchasing the game on Steam, so if you want to back the creators directly, that option is available.

This is a pre-installed build, so there's no installer wizard. Extract the package to a folder excluded from your antivirus or Defender scanning, install any necessary apps from the Redist or _CommonRedist folder, then run Ixion.exe as administrator. The Installation Guide.txt inside the game files covers the detailed steps.

You need a 64-bit processor and operating system, Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310 processor, 8 GB RAM, a GTX 1060 4GB or Radeon RX 590 graphics card, DirectX version 12, and 20 GB of available storage space.

The current download is version v1.0.6.5 in a 4.2 GB package. The listing shows the game version as up to date, with the current build listed as 14895889.

The most common causes are missing redistributable dependencies and antivirus interference. Install the apps from the Redist or _CommonRedist folder, make sure the game folder is excluded from antivirus scanning, and run Ixion.exe as administrator.
